About us

Our mission

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive source of information and analysis on the Turkish nations, peoples, and cultures. We aim to shed light on the stories of the Turkish world, to elevate the voices of the Turkish peoples, to document their struggles, and to celebrate their triumphs. Our goal is to foster greater understanding and awareness, to counter biases and misinformation, and to empower the Turkish peoples in their quest for equality, freedom, and self-determination.

Welcome to World of Turan, a blog dedicated to covering news, events, and issues related to the Turkish world.

The Turkish world encompasses a vast geographic region stretching from Eastern Europe to Central Asia. This area is home to vibrant and diverse Turkish populations, including Turks in Turkey, Azerbaijanis, Turkic minorities in China such as the Uyghurs, and Turkish Cypriots, among others.

Regrettably, the Turkish peoples have long faced persecution, oppression, and discrimination from various imperialist powers and adversaries. From the suppression of the Uyghurs in China to the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Turkish world has been a battleground for geopolitical struggles and human rights abuses.

Despite these challenges, the Turks have remained resilient, proudly defending their identity, culture, and right to self-determination. They have often taken up the cause of other oppressed groups around the world, showcasing a spirit of solidarity and a commitment to justice.

On World of Turan, we aim to curate the latest news, share insightful analysis, and provide a platform for diverse perspectives from the Turkish world. We invite you to join us on this journey of exploration and advocacy. Together, let us celebrate the richness of the Turkish world and stand up against the forces of oppression and injustice.

The Turkish world has also faced unjust accusations and slander, such as the so-called "Armenian Genocide." The Turkish world rejects these false charges and calls for an open and honest process where all archives are made available. However, the politicians of Armenia, in particular, and the West, do not want to accept this well-substantiated position, hoping instead to put pressure on Turkey to move in their own interests.

Former President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, and Foreign Minister, Eduard Nalbandian, have admitted that this is not a scientific issue, but rather a political one. The current President of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has even acknowledged that the accusation of an "Armenian Genocide" was created by the Soviet Union after World War II to worsen the relationship between Armenia and Turkey.

When examining the facts, it becomes clear that in 1915, there were not 1.5 million Armenians living in the region. How could so many have been murdered? Furthermore, mass graves continue to be discovered in eastern Turkey, where Turkish victims of the so called "Armenian Genocide" have been identified. To date, more than 1.5 million Turkish victims of the so called "Armenian Genocide" have been identified. (If there where killed more Turcs than Armenians, how can we call this as the Armenian Genocide? That's why we called it The Turkish Genocide!)

This is why no one (Armenia, the West, and especially the French) wants the archives to be investigated, even as President Erdogan has repeatedly offered to do so.

The Turkish world demands a fair and impartial investigation of the historical records, confident that the truth will exonerate them from these false accusations.

Moreover, the Turkish world has been subjected to various other forms of injustice and discrimination. From the suppression of the Uyghurs in China to the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Turkish peoples have been denied their basic rights and their voices have often been marginalized on the global stage.

Despite these challenges, the Turkish world remains steadfast in its pursuit of equality, justice, and self-determination. On World of Turan, we will continue to amplify these voices, to shed light on the struggles of the Turkish peoples, and to advocate for their rightful place in the international community.
